Let it snow, let it snow. It is nice that we have snow for the pre holiday season.
The news of the year is already covered in our various Websites.
Our daughter Susan did not mention in hers that she got married to Stephen Foehner last July and next week they will come from California to stay with us over the holidays.
Peter flies in from Florida where he bought a house last month at an auction in Melbourne that he is fixing up now.
We visited him last weekend with Tanya who was on business in Florida .
The main reason for our Florida trip was to see Art Basel Miami Beach (ABMB). We stayed in a beach hotel. 75 to 80 F was a pleasant contrast to snowy NY. ABMB is an offshoot of the Swiss art fair and seen as the party segment of the trio Dokumenta Kassel Germany, Biennale Venice.
In front of our hotel balcony was a tent where the White Cube Gallery London, wined and dined invited guests. We were not allowed in. Woody Allen in one of his movies in a similar situation took the guards list, pointed to a name “this is me” and got in.
But we were not short changed either since we had an invitation to the Mega yacht Sea Fair, a Gallery ship moored in South Beach for the ABMB occasion – we still don’t know what got us the invitation. Tanya and Peter joined us as dinner guests after reviewing the galleries on the boat.
What was not mentioned in our company website: business is booming. Tom is traveling right now in East Asia, currently our main market, to install two instruments, because of that we hardly find time for a Theta Christmas party.
But our house is decorated for the holidays. This year’s theme: the Moravian star, also in honor of Marshall Roberts the husband of Brigitte’s cousin Kuni. He gave us the first star before he died last month at age 86.
We hope this letter finds you in good health and best spirits.
